Goal! Set 1 contains 6 eight page books with only pictures and no words, to introduce children to books and narratives without focusing on texts.

The Goal! Set 1 Workbook contains a combination of open-ended interactive games, as well as more traditional worksheets which link to the reading books at Set 1. The worksheets have a literacy focus, while the interactive games offer an opportunity for lighter, fun group activities which are particularly suitable for older reluctant and struggling readers. Both the worksheets and interactive games are supported by teacher's notes offering clear guidance on working with the resources.
