This Teacher Resource Book has a full set of teaching notes for each title in The News. The teaching notes offer guided reading strategies, and ideas on how to use these books to teach spelling and writing. Two photocopiable masters per title support the suggested teaching ideas. The activities in the Teacher Resource Book give pupils an understanding of the relationship between reading texts and writing them within a particular genre. An additional component of this book is a comprehensive assessment component, which allows teachers to see whether pupils are achieving the stated outcomes for each edition.
