These notes are a guide to using The Coral Reef with your pupils. The notes are divided into three sections, each dealing with a different part of the book. The focus is on teaching reading strategies, thinking strategies, comprehension, vocabulary and how different texts are organised. The notes are presented under the headings Before reading, During reading and After reading.
